Rush Limbaugh Calls Into The Five: Praises Fox News, Battles With Beckel, And Slams Media Over Zimmerman
Rush Limbaugh called into Fox's The Five this afternoon for a wide-ranging interview that included open praise for Fox News, his thoughts on the George Zimmerman trial, immigration reform, and the future of the Republican Party.
Limbaugh kicked off the conversation by answering questions about whether he told his listeners to "stop watching Fox." He reiterated what he said on the air Tuesday afternoon that he meant the remark towards particular liberal pundits on television. He chalked the controversy up to the media's "desire" to "drive a wedge" among two of the more popular outlets for conservative media consumers — Fox and Limbaugh.
The radio host then offered up his thoughts on why The Five has been successful: "It's real," he said. "You guys make the show because it's a personality driven and it's just real. It just happens and it's relevant, it's topical. And all of you are relatively intelligent."
Co-host Andrea Tantaros asked the radio host to explain the nickname he gave her: Angela Tarantula. "It's a sexist answer," Limbaugh warned. "I come from a long-ago era where men could be men and stereotypical humor didn't offend anybody. You are so dominant and certain and confident I wouldn't want to mess with you."
The group then talked news-of-the-day with Limbaugh, asking him for his thoughts on the media coverage of the Zimmerman trial: "I think the media, you all excluded, is invested in a guilty verdict. And they are invested in a guilty verdict that is racial."
On immigration reform: "I really believe the Democrat Party needs a permanent underclass. They need a permanent dependent class of people low-educated, low-wage, low-skill dependent on government. They need that. Now as Americans climb the ladder of success and elevate themselves through the middle class and are less dependent on government, the Democrat races to replace them. They clearly see 11 million votes here."
On whether the GOP is attempting to appeal to some of the Democratic base through immigration reform: "We got the greatest opportunity — the Republicans do — to contrast themselves with what the Democrat Party stands for and they're not using it. They're trying to be Democrat Party light. They're trying to echo the Democrat Party, be perceived by them and liked by Democrat voters. It's a losing game."
And on the recent NSA scandal: "They've been doing that for ages," he said before asking to come back and talk on that issue in greater detail.

What Really Happened Radio Show: Michael Rivero Wednesday July 10 2013: (Commercial Free Video)
Michael Rivero is the webmaster of http://whatreallyhappened.com/ and host of the What Really Happened radio shows on the Republic Broadcasting Network. Formerly with NASA, Michael transitioned his image processing skills (along with a brief stint as an actor) into the then-new motion picture computer animation field and has worked on films such as "Star Trek", "The Day After Tomorrow", and has supervised visual effects on "Brainscan," "LOST", and "Hawaii Five-0." Michael has taken a sabbatical from film work to focus all his efforts on peace activism. Michaels foray into blogging began before the word was even invented, and happened almost by accident when he spotted a suspicious photograph being broadcast on ABC news in 1994 related to the death of White House deputy Council Vincent Foster. Since that sudden beginning, Michaels website has expanded to cover diverse topics including the JFK assassination, the accidental shoot-down of TWA 800, election fraud, health issues, Saddams non-existent nuclear weapons, 9-11, the economy, and of course, the lies used to trick the United States into wars of conquest on Afghanistan, Iraq, and now Iran. Michael resides in Hawaii with his wife Claire, who is a composer and creates much of theme music used on the What Really Happened radio show.
On the Wednesday, July 10 edition of the Alex Jones Show, Alex breaks down new developments in the ongoing NSA spy-gate scandal as Obama moves to predictively target potential whistleblowers and "insider threats" by asking federal workers to spy on each other. Alex also analyzes new information regarding the Pentagon's purging of files dealing with the Navy SEAL raid on the Bin Laden compound in Pakistan. On today's show Alex also analyzes the intensifying war in Syria where Obama-backed FSA rebels have imposed food blockades and are shooting protestors in the city of Aleppo, in addition to Russia's UN ambassador also promoting claims that opposition fighters, not Syrian forces, are using chemical weapons. We'll also be covering the arrest of fellow radio host and political activist Adam Kokesh mere hours after he appeared in an interview with Alex on the Infowars Nightly News, whose residence was raided last night after he staged a valiant July 4th open carry protest in Washington DC.
It is well known in economics academia that The Wonderful Wizard of Oz written by L. Frank Baum in 1900 is loaded with powerful symbols of monetary reform which were the core of the Populist movement and the 1896 and 1900 president bid of Democrat William Jennings Bryan.
The yellow brick road (gold standard), the emerald city of Oz (greenback money), even Dorothy's silver slippers (changed to ruby slippers for the movie version) were the symbol of Baum's and Bryan's belief that adding silver coinage to gold would provide much needed money to a depression-strapped, 1890s America.
2013 is the centennial of two developments that dramatically changed the United States -- and the world -- for the worse: The creation of the Federal Reserve System, and the imposition of the Income Tax through the 16th Amendment.
For more than a century, Americans had fought against the creation of a central bank; that fight was lost when the Federal Reserve was created.
How did the Federal Reserve come about? Who were its architects -- and what was their design? What has been the impact of the Federal Reserve on our economy? Should it be abolished -- and, if so, how can this be done?
We will discuss these questions with Bill Still, historian, author, and documentary filmmaker whose most recent project is the new film "Jekyll Island," an expose describing the secret origins of the Federal Reserve System.
George Noory interviews Reid Lance Rosenthal and Scott Tips.
About the show:
In the first half, rancher, realtor, and author Reid Lance Rosenthal talked about Agenda 21 anti-private property edicts, and government encroachment on freedoms. Agenda 21 got its start at a conference of UN environmental organizations in 1992, and over the years it's become "a 40 chapter ever-evolving bible of globalism," obliterating the rights of sovereign nations, and eliminating personal liberties for the good of the collective, he remarked. Under the guise of such terms as sustainable development, and viable communities, the Agenda seeks to increasingly control human activity, Rosenthal suggested. Agenda 21 promotes the concept of "regionalism," pushing for everyone to live in compact urban areas, and casts a negative light on suburbs and rural areas, he continued.
Governmental property confiscation is up 100 fold in the last 10 years, and "the heyday of property seizures by government for political and fiscal reasons is just beginning," he warned. Agenda 21 has come to Brazil in full force, and there's been more than 4,000 people displaced with their homes demolished, and troops sporting a UN logo were involved in the re-locations, Rosenthal reported. Eminent domain, the right of a government to take a property from a private landowner "for the public good," is a growing problem, with 13 million acres in the US being targeted for "federalization," he added. Rosenthal was also critical of the push for alternative energy in the US, characterizing it as a "cloak of crony capitalism" in which most of its green jobs created go overseas, and further, the industry is highly subsidized, and can't stand on its own.
In the latter half, attorney Scott Tips, the General Counsel for the National Health Federation, the world's oldest health-freedom organization for consumers, discussed how corporations are attempting to dominate markets though global food imperialism, and deny the public access to vitamins and supplements. Big agriculture and 'big pharma' are "dumbing down" the food supply and filling it with toxins, "so they're basically poisoning us and devitalizing the foods," he said. Codex Alimentarius, created 50 years ago, to establish international guidelines and standards for foods and supplements has been pushing to lower the amount of recommended daily intakes of vitamins as well as control or restrict health supplements. FDA bureaucrats who attend the Codex meetings don't represent the American consumer but rather big business, and the US is connected to their rulings via various trade agreements, he detailed.
Statistics show that supplements are generally quite safe, he cited, much more so than hospitals, and pharmaceutical drugs, for instance. People like Senator Dick Durbin, who is pushing a bill to control supplements as a way to protect the consumer, is actually more interested in protecting the existing big business, Tips opined. The answer isn't to build up more government powers-- this doesn't secure freedom, he continued. His organization has looked into such problems as excessive vaccinations, water fluoridation, over-farming reducing nutrients, and GMO labeling, and the common denominator in all of them is that they serve to lower fertility rates.

Testifying for Bradley Manning's Defense, Ex-Guantánamo Prosecutor Says Leaks Caused No Harm to U.S.
Lawyers for accused Army whistleblower Bradley Manning have opened their defense at his military court-martial with a bid to dismiss a number of charges, including aiding the enemy. We're joined by the former chief prosecutor at Guantánamo Bay, Col. Morris Davis, who has just wrapped two days of testimony for the defense. Davis told the court that many of the files Manning leaked on Guantánamo were already out in the public and that they had no value to enemy groups and could not have harmed U.S. national security. We're also joined from Fort Meade, Maryland, by Kevin Gosztola, a civil liberties blogger covering the trial for Firedoglake.com and co-author of "Truth And Consequences: The U.S. vs. Bradley Manning."

'A large Chinese bank just last night ran out of liquidity and was bailed out by the government. Furthermore: "The seven-day repo rate, the benchmark rate for funding costs between banks, surged to 12.33% Thursday afternoon from the 8.26% rate at Wednesday's close. It had averaged around 3.30% this year before the liquidity crunch began at the end of last month." This is the same phenomenon that occurred globally in September 2008.'
'The U.S. market has DECLINED over the past month, the Japanese stock market has recently dropped 20%, the U.S. bond market sold-off, gold (GLD) is down 20% year-to-date (YTD), Chinese stocks (FXI) have fallen 19.69% YTD, emerging markets stocks (EEM) have depreciated 11.3% IN THE LAST MONTH, copper—a premiere asset considered to indicate growth or contraction, has contracted 18% YTD, etc... Investors should not ignore this massive deflation in global markets and assets.'

“The modern banking system manufactures money out of nothing. The process is, perhaps, the most astounding piece of sleight of hand that was ever invented. Banks can in fact inflate, mint and un-mint the modern ledger-entry currency.” Major L L B Angus
The few who understand the system will either be so interested in its profits or so dependent on its favours that there will be no opposition from that class, while on the other hand, the great body of the people mentally incapable of comprehending the tremendous advantage that capital derives from the system will bear its burdens without complaint and perhaps without even suspecting that the system is inimical to their interests.

"Debts must be collected, bonds and mortgages must be foreclosed as rapidly as possible. When, through a process of law, the common people lose their homes they will become more docile and more easily governed through the influence of the strong arm of government, applied by a central power of wealth under control of leading financiers.
This truth is well known among our principal men now engaged in forming an imperialism of Capital to govern the world.
By dividing the voters through the political party system, we can get them to expend their energies in fighting over questions of no importance. Thus by discreet action we can secure for ourselves what has been so well planned and so successfully accomplished."
